Green Minds

Hello! We are Greenminds, and we are a group of 5 students from Stroud, and we are here to make a change. Our names are Cora, Evie, Daisy, Sara and Helena. On this page, you can find out about what we do, and why we do it!

 

Our Aims:

Here at Greenminds we aim to provide children with the opportunity to explore and learn about our planet in a fun and exciting way. Our goal is to bring children together to make a difference in the world. To create biodiversity. To develop new sustainable habits. And most importantly; build a better future.

 

Future Plans:

Our vision for the future is a more sustainable, biodiverse nation. We plan to reach out to many different primary schools across the country to teach all children of the importance of our world and environment. Our main goals for the future -in no particular order- are:

1. Sending our packages to schools all across the country 

2. ⁠Teaching all students about our world and the solutions to many eco problems 

3. ⁠Creating biodiversity in schools and scout groups (rainbows, brownies and guides included)

4. ⁠Helping families find new and innovative solutions for having a sustainable and biodiverse home.

 

The box:

Each month the group will receive a box, the boxes will contain a leaflet explaining a particular theme for each month. There will also be an infographic or similar explaining an activity or activities the children can do at home or in school. The main contents of the box will be either a selection of seeds that can be sown in school or bird feeder, bird box or other similar items to increase biodiversity in their school grounds . Additionally the schools will be emailed a PowerPoint explaining each of the key themes and ideas in more depth. A digital version of the leaflets and infographics will be sent to the schools so they can forward them to parents and teachers to use.

How big are the boxes?

The box contents differs on how much space and pupils there are. We can determine the size by sending a form to be filled out that asks about the school size and how much space they have.

 

How often are they sent?

The boxes are sent monthly with different themes for every box, though it is possible to request to change it to be every term 

 

How much will it cost?

The prices will change from box to box depending on the contents of the box for that month. It will also change depending on the amount of stuff you need for the size of your school
